Jessica Balzano is new to Philadelphia's murder squat when she's partnered with Kevin Byrne, a veteran and a troubled man.
Almost immediately they catch a horrific case. Somebody is abducting teenage girls and mutilating and killing them in what appears to be religiously motivated murders.
Without any clues, motives or real suspects, it appears the killings might just continue. That is, until they come to a violent and horrific finale, much too close to home to the two detectives for comfort.
Good mystery, with a solid story line, interesting characters and enough red herrings to keep me guessing and turning the pages.
